new builder in town. Services offers

Hi im Nigel (aka XPERT360) and i have just set up a business building cars here in S.Wales. Ive a few Extreme builds to my name and my partner has one DNA 360 in black under his belt. Anyway, if you happen to have too much on and are looking for a good builder, OR you have started a project and cannot find the time to finish, we can do it. We will have our own spray booth (if all goes to plan) soon and a trimmer from Recaro Aircraft seating background on hand. Our company is called DRAGON EXOTICS and we will be advertising our selves as builders whilst the kits will still have to be bought from EXTREME etc.

If you wouldnt mind keeping us in mind or if someone on the owners club is looking for a builder, please bare us in mind.

Let me know your thoughts. You can check out my builds on YOUTUBE under xpert360 build diaries and also if required can grant you permission to access my Photobucket albums.

Ive obviously talket several times to Ashley regarding this, and he's given me his blessing and will not be standing on his toes.. Please PM US FOR FURTHER DETAILS. iF YOU LIVE DOWN SOUTH OR ARE FROM IRELAND FEEL FREE TO COME TO S.WALES TO VIEW OUR EXTREME CARS / KITS AND CURRENT BUILD.

Re: new builder in town. Services offers

Hi Nigel

Do you build Murci's as well?
I've been trying (unsuccessfully) to get in touch with Extreme recently hoping for a price of a turnkey build.
I'm guessing they're very busy as I haven't had any reponse to my emails or phone calls / messages.
I might have more luck if I get a price for a kit and get someone else to build it.
Have you got any rough idea what you would charge. Extreme mention £10k on their site.
I'm not looking to buy until early next year but if the murci is something you'd build I'll give you a shout for a quote nearer the time.

Cheers
Paul

Re: new builder in town. Services offers

Please remember this is a extreme owners club not a front shop for people touting for business. I do not want these forums to be responsible for first contact when things can go very wrong.

I do not mind links in signatures etc but will not allow direct advertisements on the forums.

Steve

Re: new builder in town. Services offers

just one thing to ad tho. I think that advertising would be a proactive and a  positive thing and welcomed by you. Broadfieldz did it whilst they were in business!

There are so many people out there who have either given up on their builds, not had the time, or have under-estimated whats involved in building these fine cars and end up selling them off as "part built". Hell....look how many Extreme cars turned out at the shows this year and last year. ONE and that was AIG's 355. Look how many DNA'S there were - a lot. If I and not just me, can help put more Extreme cars on the road, it would be of benifit to all other forum users for both references, help and clarification on their builds, certainly benifit Extreme by feeling the need to address us or the forum instead of pestering Ashley with silly little questions because he's up to his neck in work and the development of other kits, and the more cars shown publically, the more sales will be generated for Extreme which in turn may just generate a car or two a year for us to do. I cant see the harm in that. Just my 2p's worth Steve.

Re: new builder in town. Services offers

my 2p's worth and why I think it's a bad idea...

Person wants an extreme car, finds 1st contact and builder on here. Builder completes car and person then is involved in an accident and killed. Enquiry finds that the car was built substandard and builder is being prosecuted for manslaughter. I myself the forum owner could be seen as being also responsible for this allowing advertisements, which could be seen as giving my approval 'The extreme owners club said they were a good builder and who was I to know any different ?' After Broadfieldz going bust and I myself seeing a car they built which in all honesty should not be on the road I think its best to keep it a 'owners club' and nothing more.

I have no objection about you setting up and giving it a go, hat's off to you infact but I do not want the forums to be involved.

Please do not take offence at the above comments as they are no way directed towards yourself as I have never seen any of your workmanship. I'm sure you can understand why I would just prefer to keep the forums impartial after you seeing other so called builders work which I remember you posting pictures of, it would be difficult for myself to tell one builders work from another and I wouldn't want to be seen as biased towards a builder.

I would however heavily encourage customers of builders to post there experiences and if they would use them again type of thing.

thanks

Steve
